A Hackathon able to connect Education, Entrepreneurs and Government and is still fun and educational too (for all parties). It was a great day in Wijchen with many beautiful solutions and a lot of interest. Thanks to a good cooperation between the Municipality of Wijchen, Entrepreneurs from Wijchen, Smart Business Parcs, Rabobank Hogeschool Arnhem and Nijmegen. This time we were at the request of Smart Business Parcs, responsible for the implementation of a beautiful and very successful Hackathon in Wijchen.

On Thursday there was the kick-off with a guest lecture on IoT and micro-controllers on the HAN University where students Management take the first steps into the world of Arduino and Lora. After that Friday was the Hackathon starts at 10am (and we took care of the coaching and moderation throughout the day) and at 16 hours the eindpitches for the Jury. The results were there; overall winner: place2be (a super current placemat for Hospitality bearing printed information and menu adapted to observations from sensors), best commercial winner: Taxi Tech (a solution that can more easily find their taxi passengers at Schiphol), best design: Logic Logistics ( a truck parking guidance system to improve traffic flow on a company site) Look for the eindpitches klik hier!
